Artist Bio

Riley May Gibson, Born in 1995 near Durham had always known they passionate about creating. Since completing a Glass and Ceramics BA( Hons) at Sunderland University, RILEY GIBSON has worked to capture and challenge themself and the art community with their instinctual work. What started as abstract acrylic paintings developed into a written practise after completing a Master's in Fine Art in 2019. They gather much of their inspiration from personal tales, relationships, environment and social issues/developments. Their pieces embody some of their own life experiences, which led them to exhibition work alongside other socially driven artists around the UK including the Socially Engaged Art Salon in August 2019.
